| The Forde's was one of the more formal and experimental pieces that I compiled for my 2010 MFA thesis show. The sources of imagery here speak to one of discovery and dispersal (an image of the famed Solider Bynoe) and the other a family unit that managed to pull an entire cross section of men and women together for a traditional photograph documenting island life under colonial rule. My guess this was after church or at a wedding. The two combine to transform the surface. |
